Getting the word out

Several months ago, I read a book titled, “Buzz Marketing”. Its author Mark Hughes, discussed what he calls, “The Six Buttons of Buzz”. In Buzz Marketing, the goal is to get folks talking about your product or service. The premise is that if you push the right buttons, folks will talk. These folks, in turn will tell their friends, and so on, and so on…
This blog was designed to push those buttons and in doing so, create buzz, one person at a time.

Until the recent “Credit Crisis”, many folks considered their Broker, or Financial Advisor as a sort of Oracle who had the answers to solve all of their financial woes. Not surprising, since the message perpetuated these past decades, has been that if we could just amass enough money in our retirement accounts, we would be enabled to maintain our current spending behavior throughout retirement. Unfortunately, as many folk’s retirement nest eggs continued to grow, their financial behaviors continued to deteriorate. Recently, most folks have experienced a significant erosion of their retirement assets. Add to that the uncertainties experienced during this economic recession, and it’s no wonder that many have begun to question their beliefs about money.

Readers are ecouraged to revisit the basic financial fundamentals, time honored principles that for the past three decades have been largely ignored. It is in the learning and implementation of sound financial principles, that folks are empowered to act, and think for themselves.
